Na jednym forum kiedyś przeczytałem opinię, ze Transilvanian Hunger zrewolucjonizował scenę blackmetalową, a raczej ją zatrzymał i pchnął w tył. Bo po tym prymitywnym albumie każdy ćwok z wymalowanym ryjem umiejący trzymać gitarę nazwał siebie blackmetalowcem i mógł tworzyć przeokrutną chujnie usprawiedliwiając się jakąś ideologią, oddaniem scenie, walką z komercją czy innym urojeniom narosłym wokół tej muzyki. Mogę się z tym zgodzić, bo choć lubię Darkthrone i TH to faktycznie po tym albumie pojawiło się mrowie słabizny, która można by pomyśleć budowała jakiś wydumany status kultowości na swojej miernocie (np Vlad Tepes)

No coś w tym jest. To słabe brzmienie wzięło się tylko stąd, że ówczesnych muzyków nie było stać i nie mieli warunków na uzyskanie lepszego.

Ale nie o brzmienie idzie ale o sam prymitywizm kompozycyjny, porównaj sobie z np The Seventh Day of Doom Tormentora z 87, nagrywane w jakiejś oborze, a o wiele bardziej złożone, niż TH, który od biedy goryl mógłby nagrać.

Ok, the photos did not turn out well. Damn. But I'll post a couple of them soon anyway. We recorded the two songs "Lesser Men" and "Valkyrie". They are now fully mixed and it's a done deal. In July the album will be ready.

Ciekawe czy ten nowy album będzie się jakoś znacznie różnił od ostatniego. Ale i tak nawet jakby nagrali prawie to samo co na Circle to byłoby fajnie.

Fenriz gadał, że będą iść dalej w stronę heavy metalu, ale mówił to w jakimś wywiadzie po Circle, kiedy jeszcze nic o nowym albumie nie wspominał.

How close is the new Darkthrone album? Will there be many differences compared to "Circle the Wagons"?
We sort of found ourselves with the songs we did since 2005-2006, and at least my songs are very old sounding speed metal/heavy metal with lots of clear vocals. Ted is making more threatening rugged heavy metal with raw voice, but riffs are more heavy metal than ever perhaps. We have done half the album now. My songs are maybe for people who like Savage Grace, Agent Steel, Gotham City, Landslide...a mix of old Swedish speed metal and US power. And when I mean old, I mean ‘79-’85.

Uwielbiam Soulside Journey. Wieje mrokiem, hehe. W sumie to lubię też Transilvanian Hunger i A Blaze in the Northern Sky. No i Panzerfaust tak średnio...Z nowych wydawnictw to posłucham sobie od czasu do czasu, z resztą tak jak pozostałych.
